The series 'A part from' was created during a workshop with the artist Claudia de la Torre. My way of working with prints is characterised by overlapping different forms and monochrome colour areas. I like to experiment with different arrangements of the individual elements. By using acrylic plates, paper, cardboard and printed transparent foils, the printing process is visually illuminated and illustrated in a three-dimensional way. The boxes contain materials that I use for printing, such as Finnish cardboard, which is used to dry the prints. The transparency of the acrylic plates is reminiscent of the materiality of the Rhenalon plates which I use for my drypoint etchings. The alienated motifs are made up of scans that I created with the help of analogue prints and collected image materials. Here, too, I have dedicated myself to dystopian and utopian narratives in terms of content and colour and tried to merge them visually.
